Five factors that gave rise to industrial revolution were

1.Technological innovations and more prominently the birth of steam engine formed the base for industrialisation.New machines developed which created a revolution in the field of production.large scale production of goods became possible.

2.The rich natural resources of Britain like coal and iron ore, fast flowing rivers enabled factories to gain energy, trains to run on steam and industries to flourish.

3.A revolution in the field of agriculture stared where new farming methods were used which increased the production of food.New fertilisers and seed drills were used for farming.

4.Migration of people from countryside to cities due to enclosures. they were jobless and homeless and formed the labour force for industries which led to growth of production.

5.The overseas empire of Britain was vast enough to provide with a strong economy.This capital was invested for building railways, roadways and industries.
