The following are the features of the eye of a cockroach:-

• Cockroach has a pair of compound eyes located on the triangular head.
• Each compound eye is made up of smaller units called ommatidia which are hexagonal in shape.

Advantage:

• Multiple images of a single object are obtained from the ommatidia. This type of vision is called mosaic vision.
