The differences can be given as. 1) Shape: Solids have definite shape. Liquids attain the shape of container. Gases lack definite shape. 2) Arrangement of particles : The particles are tightly packed in solids. Liquid particles are little loosely packed. Gaseous particles are most loosely packed. 3) Compressibility : Solids are mostly incompressible with exceptions like sponges. Liquids are partially compressible. Gaseous are highly compressible. 4) Volume : Solids have definite volume. Liquids have definite volume. Gases do not have definite volume. Regards
