Embryo:

  1. At the micropylar end of the embryo sac, the embryo is developed from the zygote.
  2. Majorly 3 portions are present in the embryo-
    • Plumule
    • Radicle
    • Cotyledons- Provides nourishment to the baby plant.
  • Cotyledon can be one or two, seed with cotyledon will be called monocotyledon whereas in seeds with 2 cotyledon will be called dicotyledon.
