The length of India is 3214 km , whereas the breadth of India is 2933 km. The breadth is dependent on the longitudinal extent while as the length is dependent upon the latitudinal extent.
The country is situated north of the equator between 8°4' to 37°6' north latitude and 68°7' to 97°25' east longitude.
India's borders run a total length of 15,106.70 km (9,386.87 mi).
