Each stanza has at least one line which exhibits humour. Some examples of this are:
“If he roars at you, as you are dyin’”, “Just notice if he eats you”, “He’ll only lep and lep again.” and “If there is nothing on the tree, ‘Tis the chameleon you see.” These lines are humorous because the poet juxtaposes opposing ideas such as identifying an animal after it has killed you and seeing a chameleon by not seeing it.
