Structure:

  1. The parenchyma tissue is a live cell with thin cell walls made up of unspecialized cells. Cellulose makes up their cell walls.
  2. Parenchyma cells are isodiametric and they have roughly equal expansion on all sides. They could be oval, spherical
    or polygonal in shape.
  3. The cells have a big central vacuole and thick cytoplasm with a distinct nucleus.

Location:

  1. The parenchyma tissues are found throughout the plant, including the stem, root, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds.
  2. It's also found in the plant's soft portions, such as the cortex of roots, ground tissues in stems, and leaf mesophyll.
  3. It's also found in pith, xylem, and phloem packing tissues.
