The failure of the First No-Cooperation Movement gave rise to the Hindustan Rebublican Association in 1924.The most notable activity of this association was the killing of Saunders, the police Superintendent at Lahore.He was killed o take revenge of the death of Lala Lajpat Rai who was brutally assaulted by the police.Throwing of bombs by Bhagat Singh and Bataukeshwar Dutt in the Central Assembly was another major activity of the association.It was done to protest against the repressive policies taken by the British Government.
