Solution
Occurrence of collenchyma:
Collenchyma is a type of simple permanent tissue, usually a mechanical tissue that provides mechanical support and flexibility to the plants.
The collenchyma tissues are elongated in shape.
The collenchyma tissues are usually found below the epidermis and midrib region of dicot stems and petiole of the plants only.
Collenchyma tissues are absent in monocot leaves, stems, and roots.
