Pathway taken by germs to enter our body:
Our body can be invaded by various harmful substances such as germs and pollutants all the time. Some of the ways by which they can enter our body are:
Skin: When we get a cut or some wound on our skin, germs may enter our body through that wound and the chances for infection are very high.
Mucous membrane: Some parts of our body like the nose, genital tracts, eyes, and urinal tracts have mucous covering. When an infected person sneezes or coughs, the chances for the droplets to come in contact with the mucous membrane is very high which will result in the entry of that germ into our body.
Food and water: Some diseases are food or water-borne diseases that will get transmitted to a person when that person drinks or eats the food having the disease-causing germ.
Air: When an infected person sneezes or coughs, the droplets that have the disease-causing germs travel and land on the mouth or nose of a non-infected person.
