Physical Properties of Non-metals:

  1. Hardness: Non-metals are weak and brittle (easily breakable)
  2. Luster: Non-metals have dull appearance means do not have luster.
  3. Softness: Most of the non-metals are soft. They can be cut quickly with a knife.
  4. Conduction: Non-metals do not have free electrons. For this, they do not conduct heat and electricity.
  5. Sonority: Non-metals are non-sonorous means they do not produce sound when hit by an object.
  6. Melting and boiling point: Most non-metals have low melting and boiling point.
  7. Colour: Some non-metals have different colors.
  8. Strengths: Non-metals have low tensile strength.
  9. State: Non-metals are solid, liquid, or gas at room temperature.
