Mention the reasons for the difference in ploidy of zygote and primary endosperm nucleus in an angiosperm?

Open in App
Solution

The zygote is formed by the fusion of male gamete(n) and female gamete (n) called syngamy, so it is diploid in nature, and primary endosperm nucleus is formed by the fusion of secondary diploid nucleus (2n) with one of the male gamete(n), so it is triploid in nature.
