Solution
(a) Water hyacinth propagates by means of offsets. Offsets are meant for forming new crowns at their tips. The breaking of the horizontal stems convert the different crowns into independent plants.
(b) Agave propagates by means of bulbils. Bulbils are fleshy buds produced in the axil of foliage leaves in place of axillary buds. They grow to form new plants when shed and fall on the ground.
(c) Banana propagates by means of rhizomes. Rhizomes are the part of underground stems that form lateral shoots and adventitious roots.
