Mention three methods of reducing friction in a machine.

In machines there are moving parts and as we know that friction has a tendency to oppose the motion so in the moving parts friction causes problem. Due to the friction moving parts of the machine face wear and tear so there is a need to reduce the friction in the moving parts of the machine.

Three ways to reduce friction in a machine are -

1. Using lubricant or machine oil
2. Making the sliding parts smooth as much as possible
3. Using bearings
