Through mining we get access to the vast mineral resources of the earth. However, it comes with a cost and has the following adverse effects on our environment.

1) Mining causes soil erosion as there is land degradation at the place of mining.

2) It also causes a loss to the bio diversity as the places have to cleared for mining.
