1. The conversion of water energy to electrical energy depends on the kinetic energy of water, thus a constant flow of high-speed currents is required to run the hydroelectric stations. Without high speed water flowing, water energy doesn't have proper usage.
2. Water with high speed can be found in very few places, thus hydroelectric power plants cannot be generated in many places.
