Living things vs living reactions :
  • In vitro is Latin for "within the glass." In vitro, means happening outside a living organism.
  • Metabolic reactions do take place outside the cell in a test tube In vitro methods used in a laboratory to study bacterial, animal, or human cells in culture.
  • These reactions are considered to be living reactions, but not living things.
