Methane can be prepared by hydrolysis of alkyl magnesium bromide with alkyl group as methyl group.

Methane can not be prepared by wurtz reaction because product formed in wurtz reaction has a minimum of two carbons.

Methane can be prepared from decarboxylation of sodium ethanoate.

Methane is an aliphatic hydrocarbon and friedel-crafts reaction is used for aromatic compounds. So, methane can't be prepared by friedel crafts reaction.
