Reaction between Methanoic Acid (or Formic Acid), HCOOH and Sodium bicarbonate (or baking soda or Sodium hydrogencarbonate), NaHCO3 can be represented as follows -
HCOOH ​ ​+ ​NaHCO3 -------> HCOONa ​+ ​CO2 ​+ ​H2O
Sodium Methanoate Carbon dioxide Water
