Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are costly as well, as highly pollutant. They can be replaced by low-cost non-polluting biofertilizers and biopesticides. Biofertilizers not only provide the required nutrients to the crop plants but also improve soil texture.

Biopesticides are target specific. They do not disturb the ecosystem but reduce the number of pests and pathogens.
