Solution

The correct option is C Actin protein
The cytosol of the eukaryotic cell contains three types of filaments that can be distinguished on the basis of their diameter, type of subunit and subunit arrangement. Actin filaments also called as microfilaments, are 8 to 9 nm in diameter and have a twisted two-stranded structure. The monomer actin subunits assemble into microfilaments. Microtubules are hollow tube-like structures, 24 nm in diameter, whose walls are formed by adjacent protofilaments. Intermediate filaments have the structure of 10 nm diameter rope. Thus, the correct answer is option C.
