Microorganisms enter our body through the air we inhale, through the water we drink, through the food we eat and through our skin.
The common cold is transmitted through air. Polio is transmitted through contaminated water or food. A person is said to be infected with rabies when a virus enters the body through the skin when an infected dog bites the individual.
