Solution

Colloids:

  • A colloidal solution is a heterogeneous mixture in which a definite substance is distributed in the form of very small particles as a dispersed phase in another substance called the dispersion medium.
  • The size of colloidal particles is in the range of 1 nm - 1000 nm which we can not see through our naked eye.
  • Example: Emulsion is a colloid in which the dispersed phase and dispersion medium is in the liquid state (milk is an example).

Therefore, Milk is an example of a colloid.
