$N a_{2} C O_{3}$ is stable to heat whereas $N a H C O_{3}$ decomposes on heating.
$2 N a H C O_{3} Δ - \to N a_{2} C O_{3} + H_{2} O + C O_{2}$
Thus, 1 mole of $N a H C O_{3}$ will give 0.5 mole residue.
Hence, $10 x = 10 \times 0.5 = 5$ .
