MnO2 + 4HClMnCl2 + Cl2 + 2H2O

1 mole of MnO2 produces 22.4 Litres of Cl2 in the reaction at STP.

1 mole MnO2 22.4 L Cl2

The molar mass of MnO2=55+2×16=87 g

1 mole of MnO2=87g

2.24 L Cl2 =(2.24)(87)22.4=8.7g of MnO2
