The distance between two plants

We know that one metre = 100 cm
One quarter = 100 $÷$ 4 = 25 cm
Therefore, three quarters = 3 x 25 = 75 cm

So, the distance between the first and the last sapling = 4 times of 75 cm
= 4 $\times$ 75
= 300 cm
We know that, 100 cm = 1 m
So, 300 cm = 300 $÷$ 100
= 3 m.
