Monoadelphous androecium refers to condition in which all the filaments of the stamens are united into a single bundle around the style of the carpel, but anthers remain free. In the Malvaceae family, the androecium consists of very numerous monadelphous stamens with apically divergent filaments bearing 1-celled anthers.
