Study the climatic data given below and answer the questions that follow:
i. What is the annual range temperature of the station?
ii. What is the total annual rainfall experienced by the station?
iii. Why would it be correct to presume that the station lies in the interior and not on the coast?

i. The annual range is defined as the difference between the hottest and coldest months, taking monthly mean temperatures in each case. Here the annual range temperature is 36.2-12.0 = 24.2 C.
ii. It is the sum total of rainfalls received in each month of the year. Here it is 112.9 cm.
iii. The Western coast gets its heaviest rainfall during June by South-West monsoon, while Eastern coast gets its maximum rainfall in winter. But in the given table there is no heavy rainfall either in summer or in winter. Thus, it is correct to presume that the station lies in the interior and not on the coast.
