Monthly incomes of Aand B are in the ratio of 4 : 3 and their savings are in ratio of 3 : 2. If the expenditure of each will be Rs.600, what will be the monthly income of B ?

The correct option is C 1800
Income = Expenditure + Savings
Let there Incomes are 4x and 3x and there
savings are 3y and 2y
Hence for A: 4x=3y+600
And for B: 3x=2y+600
Therefore, 4x3y=600 ...(i)
and 3x2y=600 ...(ii)
From eqn. (i) and (ii)
4x3y=3x2y
x=y
4x3x=600
x=600
Then, the income of A=4×600=Rs.2400
and income of B=3×600=Rs.1800
