Part of the monthly salary he is expending of food and house rent $=\frac{{60}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}=\frac{1}{6}$
Hence, the amount he spends on food and house rent $=\frac{1}{6}\times \text{Monthly salary}$
$=\frac{1}{6}\times 15000=\text{Rs}.2500$.
