This protocol stipulates the production and consumption of greenhouse gases like CFC, CCl4 and methyl chloroform that depletes ozone in stratosphere be phased out by 2000. Kyoto Protocol was held in Kyoto in 1997. In this protocol, the emphasis is given on global warming, which is the result of increasing use of greenhouse gases CO2, CH4, oxides of nitrogen and CFC to mitigate climate change.
