Solution

Mosquito is not a parasite, it is a vector. The difference between a vector and a parasite is simple.
A vector is an organism, typically a biting insect or tick, that transmits a disease or parasite from one animal another.Whereas a parasite is an organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.A mosquito cannot be considered as a parasite because it does not depend on blood for living.
Mosquitoes are vector because they don't need blood to survive Male mosquitoes never thrive for blood.Females need blood for the nourishment of their eggs.
