Solution

A huge part of the rain flows into the river and streams which finally falls into the sea and oceans. This is called surface run off. Some part of rain seeps into the soil as groundwater. This water gets used up for various purposes and eventually reaches seas and oceans.

Similarly, the water that falls on the land as snow melts due to the heat of the sun and flows into the rivers and streams which finally flows into sea and oceans.
