Solution

The correct option is A True
The vestibular apparatus is located above the cochlea in the ear. The cochlea is concerned with the hearing whereas the vestibular apparatus is concerned with the maintenance of the body balance.
The hair cells present in the apparatus bend in response to the change in the position of the head which generates impulses. These impulses are then transmitted through the vestibular branch of the auditory nerve to the cerebellum of the brain where these impulses are analysed. Increased excitability of the vestibular apparatus thus leads to motion sickness where the person feels dizziness.
So, the given statement is true.
