Solution

The correct option is A No. 900 g more cheese is required.
Let's add the quantity of cheese bought by all the mice.

The first two mice bought 175 g cheese each.

Cheese bought by 2 mice = 175 g + 175 g = 350 g

Then three more mice bought 250 g of cheese each.

Cheese bought by another 3 mice
= 250 g + 250 g +250 g
= (250 + 250) g + 250 g
= 500 g + 250 g
= 750 g

Hence, total cheese bought by 5 mice = 350 g + 750 g =1,100 g

Now, let's compare it with the required 2 kg of cheese.

For this, we need to convert kilograms into grams.

We know, 1 kg = 1,000 g

2 kg =2×1,000=2000 g

As 1,100 g < 2,000 g, collected cheese is not sufficient for the mice.

They need to bring 2,000 g - 1,100 g more cheese.
Hence, Mouse Land needs 900 g more cheese for winter.
