Cost of the entire estate = a

Let the share of daughter be = 4x

Let the share of son be = 3x

$⟹3x+4x=\frac{a}{2}⟹7x=\frac{a}{2}⟹x=\frac{a}{14}$

$\therefore$ Share of son = $\frac{3a}{14}$

Share of wife = 2 (Share of son) = $\frac{3a}{7}$

Share of cook + Share of wife = $\frac{a}{2}$

$⟹500+\frac{3a}{7}=\frac{a}{2}⟹\frac{a}{14}=500$

$\therefore$ a = Rs 7000
