Mr. Kasam runs a small business of making pots. He makes certain number of pots on daily basis. Production cost of each pot is $Rs.40$ more than $10$ times total number of pots, he makes in one day. If production cost of all pots per day is $Rs.600$, find production cost of one pot and number of pots he makes per day.

Let no. of pots he makes per day = $x$

Production cost of each pot is = Rs $(40+10x)$

cost of all pots per day =$600$

According to problem ;

Total cost $=$ no. of pots $\times$ production cost each pot.

$600=x(40+10x)$

$600=40+10x^2$

$60=4x+x^2$

$x^2+4x-60=0$

$x=\frac{-4\pm \sqrt{16+240}}{2}$

$x=\frac{-4\pm \sqrt{256}}{2}$

$x=\frac{-4+16}{2},x=\frac{-4-16}{2}$ (not possile)

$\therefore x=6$

$\therefore$ No. of pots he makes per day = $6$

Cost of each pot is = Rs$(40+60)=100$Rs
