Mr. Kasam runs a small business of making pots. He makes certain number of pots on daily basis. Production cost of each pot is Rs.40 more than 10 times total number of pots, he makes in one day. If production cost of all pots per day is Rs.600, find production cost of one pot and number of pots he makes per day.

Let no. of pots he makes per day = x

Production cost of each pot is = Rs (40+10x)

cost of all pots per day =600

According to problem ;

Total cost = no. of pots × production cost each pot.

600=x(40+10x)

600=40+10x2
60=4x+x2

x2+4x60=0

x=4±16+2402

x=4±2562

x=4+162,x=4162 (not possile)

x=6

No. of pots he makes per day = 6

Cost of each pot is = Rs(40+60)=100Rs
