Mr. Pandey was given some money back by the shopkeeper at the grocery store. He was given 5 two-hundred rupee notes, 6 twenty rupee notes, 2 five rupee coins, and a one rupee coin. How much money did he get?

5 two-hundred notes = 5 x ₹200
= ₹1000
6 twenty rupee notes = 6 x ₹20
= ₹120
(1 mark)
2 five rupee coins = 2 x ₹5
= ₹10
one rupee coin = ₹1
So the total = ₹1000 + ₹120 + ₹10 + ₹1
= ₹1131
