Mr. Rajan got a job at the age of 24 years.

Mr. Rajan retired at the age of 60 years.
The number of years he did the job = Retirement age - Joining age = 60 - 24 = 36 years
$\therefore$ The fraction of his age till retirement, when he was in the job = $\frac{\text{Total years he did the job}}{\text{Retirement age}}=\frac{36}{60}=\frac{36÷12}{60÷12}=\frac{3}{5}$ $\left[\begin{array}{c}\because \text{HCF of 36 and 60 = 12}\end{array}\right]$
Hence, the required fraction is $\frac{3}{5}$.
