Let Nina buys xpound of candy at rate 80centperpound

1cent =1100 $

80cents =80100

=0.8

As per the given statements

x×0.8+50×1.2=1.0×(x+50)

0.8x+60=x+50

x-0.8x=60-50

0.2x=10

x=100.2

x=1002

x=50

Hence, she should buy 50pounds of candy for 80centsperpound.
