(a) centimeters (b) meters and (c) decimeter.

Step 1: Finding total length of rope.

Given: Measures of four pieces of rope are 4m85cm, 8m67cm, 9m56cm and 12m45cm.

So, total length of rope =Sum of all the pieces

mcm485+867+956+12453553

So total length of rope is 35m53cm

Step 2: Finding total length of rope in centimeters, meters and decimeter .

We know 1m=100cm

So, 35m53cm=3500+53

=3553cm

=3553100m [ Since, 1m=100cm1cm=1100m]

=35.53m

=35.53×10dm [ Since, 1m=10dm]

=355.3dm

Hence, the total length of the rope in terms of centimeters, meters and decimeter are 3553cm,35.53m and 355.3dm respectively.
