Muscular walls of ventricles are thicker than the walls of auricles. Why?

Auricle function is to receive blood and pump blood in to ventricles only.Where as ventricles have to pump blood to lungs from right side and to the whole body on the left side. So ventricles have to work with greater strength to pump blood to far off places.That is the reason why ventricles have more muscular walls.To pump with more force the muscles of the ventricles are thicker.
