Question

How did Mendel's experiment disprove the idea that "we are simply a blend of our parents traits"?

Open in App
Solution

When Mendel experimented with two different coloured parent pea plants, he found that the offspring was one colour instead of mix of two colours.

When he tried the experiments with hundreds of baby plants, he found that female parent trait is dominant.

So, we are not a blend of our parent traits.
