Question

A student covers 14 km in a week while jogging. If he covers equal distance every day, how much distance does he cover each day?

Open in App
Solution

Since we know that a week has 7 days,
Total distance covered in 7 days = 14 km
=> Distance covered in each day = 14 ÷ 7
From the multiplication table of 2, we know that 7 × 2 = 14.
Since division is the reverse of multiplication, 14 ÷ 7 = 2
So he covers 2 km each day.
