A kaleidoscope is an instrument consisting of mirrors that are tilted towards each other at an angle at one of the ends, so as to obtain a regular symmetrical pattern when viewed from the other end. It works on the principle of multiple reflections of light.
The uses of a Kaleidoscope are:
(i) Designers of wallpapers and fabrics and artists use kaleidoscopes to get ideas for new patterns.
(ii) Most kaleidoscopes are mass-produced from inexpensive materials and are intended as toys for children.
