The correct option is B all the cells should be joined in parallel
Let each cell have emf ε and internal resistance r.

Assuming all cells having same polarity are in series connection, So,

εeq=Nε
req=Nr

So, Is=NεNr=εr

Assuming all cells having same polarity are in parallel connection, So,

εeq=ε1r1+ε2r2+ε3r3+............+εmrn1r1+1r2+1r3+.............+1rn

Since ε1=ε2=εn=ε

r1=r2=rn=r

εeq=ε

req=r/N

So, Ip=ε(r/N)=Nεr

Here, we can clearly see that,
