NO2 generally exists as a dimer which is colourless unlike NO2. Justify.

NO2 is an odd electron molecule.In this central atom (N) is one electron short to complete its octate so NO2 molecule readily combines with another NO2 molecule to form dimer.
Due to this pairing of electron NO2 loses its color and the dimer becomes colorless.
