1)n-propyl alcohol oxidize with KMnO4 to give Propanoic acid.
2)Isopropyl alcohol oxidizes with KMnO4 to give Propanone.
Above two reactions give different products, So we can differentiate alcohol by oxidation with KMnO4.option C is correct.
Remained option are not differentiated alcohol because-A) PCl5 chlorination of alcohol give chloropropane and 2 -chloropropane
B) reduction is not possible in this examples.
D)ozonolysis is not possible because there is not a double bond present in examples (oxidation of double bond by O3)
