$\frac{4}{3}-\frac{1}{2}$

Fractions whose denominators are different are called unlike fractions.

$\frac{4}{3}$, $\frac{1}{2}$ are unlike fractions.

The LCM of the denominator of the given fractions i.e. the L.C.M. of 3 and 2 is 6.

$\therefore \frac{4}{3}-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{4\times 2-1\times 3}{6}=\frac{8-3}{6}=\frac{5}{6}$
