Solution

The motion of an object moving in a curved path is calledcurvilinear motion.
Rectilinear motion is another name for straight-linemotion. This type of motion describes the movement of a particle or a body. A body is said to experiencerectilinear motion if any two particles of the body travel the same distance along two parallel straight lines.

so from these above explanations it is clear that the motion exhibited by the ball may be rectilinear or curvilinear.
but circular motion means ball should be moved along a circular path only which is not possible at all.circular path is a fixed path which is not covered by a ball any time rather than the rectilinear or curvilinear path.
